Positively Kids

For anyone who has grown up with many siblings in the house-?
How many did you add up to? Do you think living with many siblings has affected your life positively or negatively? And do you ever wish you had more or less brothers and sisters? I grew up in a 2-sibling house and my sister and I always wished our parents had more kids. Would you continue the big family tradition and have a big one of your own?
I have two younger sisters and a younger brother, who’s adopted. I love having all those younger sibs, they really brighten my day. I always wanted an older brother, though. Someone to take the blame for me…and fight for me in school, you know, all that jazz. At times I’ve begged my parents to adopt another kid too…but they’re done. I’ll probably adopt/have as many kids as I can possibly stand, but probably not more than 5 or 6…
One of my closest friends is an only child. I always felt bad for her. I mean, believe me there are days when I wish my sibs would just disappear, but they really come in handy sometimes. Having lots of sibs makes a great buffer between kids/parents. And I’ve discovered that with each kid added to the family, I’ve grown closer with all of my sibs. I used to be such a tattletale. Now I’m always sticking up for my sibs, trying to keep them out of trouble as much as possible. We’re our own little support group. And now that they’re old enough to play board games, I’ve always got some little kid running around who’s more than happy to hang out for a round or two of monopoly…
