If GOD is one and three at a time, then who was the GOD in heaven when jesus was on earth ?
woudn’t this contradict his many references to a GOD in heaven that sent him.
The One Being who is God is composed of three separate personages – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. That’s why, when the Son gave up the glory he had alongside the Father in heaven and came to earth in human form, the Father and the Holy Spirit were still in heaven.
That’s why, when Jesus was being baptised, his heavenly Father spoke to him while the Holy Spirit descended on him in the form of a dove. All three were present at that point in time on earth.
That’s why, when Jesus died, the Father and the Holy Spirit did not also die.
The Son of God is one of three parts of the Godhead. Together, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit make up the One Being who is God.
