Background
The Pampered Chef provides recipes and kitchen products for preparing delicious meals that can bring back the old tradition, families eating together at a dinner table. Back in 1980, Doris Christopher founded Pampered Chef targeted to the family dinner environment. Though not a chef herself, she was a working mother who realized a necessity for notable working kitchen tools at a reasonable price. With her teaching qualifications, she began in-home cooking demonstrations to showcase what is now the Pampered Chef product line.
Products
The Pampered Chef product line includes professional-quality kitchen tools such as:
Kitchenware – Such as peelers and measuring tools
Pampered Chef Cookware – Including stainless sauce pans and skillets, as well as rice cookers and serving ware
Stoneware – High quality baking tools
Bakeware – For making delicious cakes, cookies and pastries!
Bamboo – Including bowls, tongs, and cooking sets, etc.
Cutting Edge – The high-class professional-quality cutting ware that no kitchen should be without
Miscellaneous – Outdoor serving sets and BBQ tools, and table settings for entertaining guests such as placemats, napkin rings and serving platters, etc.
Distribution
Pampered Chef products offer a complete line for kitchen preparation and serving family and friends. The company chose individual direct sales as its distribution method. Pampered Chef consultants make in-home cooking demonstrations also known as “Cooking Shows.” The company claims consultants have held over 1 million Cooking Shows yearly with over 12 million customers using their high-quality products.
Structure
There are about 750 corporate employees at the Addison, Illinois Pampered Chef headquarters. There are about 60,000 independent Pampered Chef consultants in the sales force worldwide.
They have eight levels of direct sales ranging from Pampered Chef Consultants to National Executive Directors. With no requirement to keep inventory in your house, Pampered Chef has made it uncomplicated to enter the business as an independent distributor. The company provides web courses, tele-classes, local sales meetings with advanced sales reps, as well as national events to help give you the training you need to make a successful career.
As a Pampered Chef Consultant, you are supplied with marketing tools, such as catalogs, brochures, and even your own personal website. The Consultant is required to procure their own demonstration kit but for a reduced price of $155 rather than the $570 value but they are not required to maintain inventory.
Independent consultants can work the hours they like, part-time or full-time. The company does not have quotas. You can decide your own goals. Income is commission based on a sliding scale of total sold per show. The minimum commission is 20% but goes to 25% for a show with sales more than $4,000. The average earning is approximately $1,300 per month for just one show per week. As with any mlm, building your own team of distributors improves your income but you can also qualify for jewelry, free vacations and other products.
Pampered Chef Consultants don’t only earn money and a great living, but they can also earn vacations and free products. With the variety of help and training available, and one-on-one time with other local consultants and directors, you have all the tools at your fingertips to start a remarkable part-time or full-time career.
