Library Question about putting books on hold?
ok i am number 9 of 12 on the waiting list for a book and i was wondering how long it would take for me to get the book. like when will it be ready (days weeks months???) oh and there is 15 copies of the book

There is no real way to be sure. 9 of 12 on a waiting list with 15 books on it SHOULD mean that everyone on that list can get a copy just as soon as those copies are returned to the library. BUT, the biggest variable is the one you can’t even begin to guess at, how long the people who currently have the book keep it for.
I’ve been waiting months for a book, I was second on the list, but the person who had it kept it out for 4 weeks longer than they should have, then the book took almost 2 weeks to get checked back in, transported to the next library, checked in there and finally collected by the person next in line from their local branch. That person has now had the book for the three weeks they were entitled to and a further two weeks and counting!
With 15 books and you being 9th on the list, you aren’t likely to wait longer than a few weeks though.
